Welcome to SAL School of Interior Design, a vibrant and emerging institution under the SAL Technical Campus, committed to nurturing the next generation of thoughtful, responsible, and innovative interior designers. Since our establishment in 2021, our School has strived to provide an education that is grounded in creativity, empathy, and contextual understanding.  

Interior design is a deeply human-centered discipline. It goes beyond aesthetics—it shapes how people live, work, and experience space. It requires a keen eye for detail, a sensitivity to human needs, and the ability to translate ideas into spatial solutions that are both functional and inspiring. At SAL, we believe that true learning happens through doing—through drawing, making, testing materials, and engaging with the physical and social world. Our four-year B.ID program, affiliated with Gujarat Technological University (GTU) and approved by AICTE, offers a well-rounded curriculum that blends academic knowledge with hands-on experience. Students are encouraged to explore, question, and collaborate. A strong emphasis on studio culture, workshops, site visits, and industry internships ensures that they graduate not just with skills, but with insight and confidence.  

We are proud of our team of dedicated faculty members—academicians and practitioners—who mentor students through an interdisciplinary and practice-based approach. Situated in Ahmedabad, a city known for its design legacy and craft traditions, our campus offers an inspiring environment that nurtures creative thinking and innovation. Our goal is to create not only skilled designers, but professionals who are environmentally conscious, socially aware, and culturally sensitive. We encourage students to think globally but design locally—keeping in mind the communities they serve and the sustainability of their choices.
