SAL School of Interior Design, established in 2021, is an emerging centre of design education under the SAL Technical Campus, which also houses programs in Architecture, Technology, Pharmacy, and Management. The School offers a four-year full-time Bachelor of Interior Design (B.ID) program, affiliated with Gujarat Technological University (GTU) and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Located in Ahmedabad—renowned for its design legacy, craft culture, and dynamic urban fabric—the School provides an inspiring learning environment that merges academic knowledge with hands-on experience. The eight-semester program includes workshops, live projects, and professional training, ensuring students are equipped with practical skills and industry exposure.

The School is guided by a team of dedicated faculty members comprising experienced academicians and practicing designers. Emphasizing a holistic and multidisciplinary approach to design, the curriculum nurtures creativity, spatial awareness, sustainability, and critical thinking.

SAL School of Interior Design features well-equipped studios, material labs, and collaborative learning spaces that promote exploration, innovation, and contextual thinking. Students are encouraged to engage with contemporary design challenges while remaining rooted in cultural and environmental sensitivity—preparing them to become responsible, adaptive, and future-ready interior design professionals.

Eligibility Criteria
To pursue interior design program, candidates need to have passed their 10+2 in Science/Commerce or Arts stream or equivalent examination from a recognized board with a minimum of  45% aggregate marks. Students also need to register at the GCAS portal.
