Architect Rahul Soni pursued his postgraduation in ‘Master of Architecture (Interior architecture)’ from SAL school of architecture and under graduation in Architecture from Anant Institute of Architecture, where he was a gold medalist in his thesis for the topic” Mathematics in sacred architecture”.He is known for conducting many hands-on workshops like Parametric Design using brick as material, Digital documentation in Heritage Architecture of India, Research methodology Workshop, Documentation of architectural content, and many others at various graduation and postgraduation level.

Rahul Soni specializes in Research and analytical writing “Architecture in the ancient Indian context” and has published a research paper for the same. In addition to being an architect, he is also an Interior architect and owns a design firm names STUDIO 1216. His research on ‘The Indian temple and mosque and ‘Mathematical geometry and arithmetic progressions’ has earned him a lot of admiration and recognition. As An Assistant Professor at SAL School of architecture, Rahul’s core interests are ‘Indian architectural history’, ‘Interior design and furniture design history, ‘Role of Architectural Principles in Design’, ‘Heritage and conservation, ‘Adaptive reuse’ and ‘Advanced computer application and computational approach toward futuristic design’.
