Meghna Sutaria is an architect-planner graduated in year 2000 from IED, Vallabh Vidhyanagar. After completion of her post-graduation as Urban Planner (with specialization in Housing) in 2002, she started her career with an NGO – Ahmedabad Study Action Group (ASAG) as project coordinator for rehabilitation of earthquake victims of 2001, Gujarat.
She developed an interest for subjects like disaster rehabilitation, appropriate technologies, self-help housing and research related to this. Since last decade and a half, she has been involved into academics with few architecture colleges of Gujarat as full time faculty. She has worked in various capacities in academics and as invited expert of Board of Studies with few universities. She strongly advocates architectural approaches those are humble and inclusive. She believes in creating built environment that is humane in nature and, which represents rich values of society. She enjoys architecture that emerges from the place and is beyond the walls.
